What is a Political Action Committee?

A Political Action Committee, or “PAC”, is an association of individuals that exists solely for the purpose of raising and receiving funds to pool and then donate to political campaigns. Typically PACs support candidates who support the viewpoints and interests of the PAC organization.

A PAC is not a lobbying organization.
